Managing Member/Partner
Amir brings structuring, business and investment management experience. At Khanda, Amir's focus is on Deal Structuring, pricing, modeling and negotiating financing. From 2016 to 2022 he was a Direct Lender to institutional CRE projects requiring Construction and Bridge financing, and focused on underwriting, portfolio management and structuring functions. From 2011 to 2016 he was the Founder and President of R3 Management - a self and family-funded distressed real estate investment firm. Prior to R3, Amir was Partner and Portfolio Manager at 3V Capital Management, a billion- dollar distressed credit hedge fund where he managed all the ABS, MBS and Aircraft portfolios. Amir was the Chief Operating Officer and Global Head of Sales and Trading at Libertas Partners (the precursor to Knight Fixed Income) from 2004-2007 and DebtTraders from 2001-2004. At these firms, Amir built out highly successful global sales and trading businesses in areas such as Aircraft backed securities, Distressed corporate debt, Emerging Markets Debt and High Yield Bonds. Amir was a trader focused on Emerging Markets at Goldman Sachs, NY, Merrill Lynch, HK and at UBS, Singapore. Amir is a CFA charter-holder, with an MBA from University of Delhi and a B. Tech. in Chem Engg. from the IIT Delhi, India.
Managing Member/Partner
Rick is a Managing Member of Khanda Capital LLC (“Khanda”), as well as the President of Summerset Senior Communities (“Summerset”). Summerset develops and operates assisted living and memory care facilities in California and Nevada.
Beasley is the Development Director for Khanda. He is actively involved with the project designs, entitlement and construction management of the Khanda’s assets. He is responsible for overseeing design teams, shepherding the projects through jurisdictional agencies, supervision of construction drawings, preparation of construction budgets and schedules and providing the on-site construction management of sitework and building improvements required to produce a finished, occupied asset.
Beasley is a licensed Professional Civil Engineer in California with a background in business management, development, land planning, design and construction management. Over the last 38 years, Beasley has designed and overseen the successful development and construction of thousands of units throughout California and Nevada. These units include multi-family projects, senior multi-family communities, along with single family residential developments and commercial centers.
Prior to joining Khanda and forming Summerset, Beasley had worked as a Civil Engineer and Construction Manager to a number of large development and building companies. The companies included Lennar Homes, Beazer Homes, Kaufman & Broad, Reynen & Bardis, Morrison Homes, Richland Properties and Del Webb Communities. A representative sample of projects designed, managed or constructed by Beasley are shown below:
· A $106 million Multi-Family and Residential development in West Sacramento, California
· A $167 million Mello-Roos infrastructure project in Roseville, California
· A $211 million Commercial and Retail center in Woodland, California
· A $2.4 billion Mello-Roos infrastructure and Residential development in Lincoln, California
Head of Construction
Jan is the Head of Khanda’s Construction Division. Jan is actively involved with the construction management of the Khanda’s assets and for 3rd party contracts. He is responsible for overseeing design teams, shepherding the projects through jurisdictional agencies, supervision of construction drawings, preparation of construction budgets and schedules and providing the on-site construction management of sitework and building improvements required to produce a finished, occupied asset.
